Bonnar Accident Law wins undisclosed sum for cleric seriously injured in fall

Bonnar Accident Law has won an undisclosed sum on behalf of Fr. Joseph McAuley, who sustained serious facial injuries resulting from a trip and fall incident in woodland managed by the Scottish Wildlife Trust.

Fr. McAuley, of St. Lucy’s Church in Cumbernauld, underwent surgery in the Southern General in Glasgow to repair a smashed eye and nasal socket and severed nerves and was off work for 3 month after the incident in 2010.
The case was due to be held at Airdrie Sheriff court but the Trust agreed an out of court settlement with lawyers from Bonnar Accident Law.
A spokesman for the Scottish Wildlife Trust said: “This was an unfortunate accident and the Trust is glad Fr. McAuley has made a good recovery.”
